Fragments, unmarked
single-channel video / experimental documentary, 2026, 4:26
Documentary footage of a meat market is the film’s point of departure. It is a space of lifeless, depersonalized flesh, separated from the whole and absorbed into the everyday.
Gradually, fragments of an unknown whole begin to emerge amid the abundance of meat. AI subtly shifts documentary reality, and traces of destruction and loss begin to surface within the familiar.
As the film progresses, the excess of fragmented flesh begins to suggest destruction and human loss. The visible part points to an absent body, to something that can no longer be restored.
The fragment remains as both a trace of loss and a form of absence.
Some images and visual transformations were created using generative AI.
