These dreams about past, present and future… Poetic images of the ancient farewell to the ground ceremony before getting married for girls from the Curonian Spit on Baltic Sea formed the basis of the work “Mud” (Gentle Women group). Roi group’s dream – meditation, intriguing by its rhythmic absurdity, is envisioning a “perfect” Russian woman, following in the footsteps of a poet, who once said about her that “In danger, not flinching, she’ll save: a galloping steed boldly facing; to enter a burning hut, brave”* (“Weeds”). Alexandra Mitlyanskaya is addressing to electronic meditations of the future, which replace the reality (“Face Book”). Roman Mokrov invites us to a small-town intimate Eden, where the time has stopped guarding a lonely dreamer’s paradise (“Paradise”). In “A Ball” by Marina Fomenko people from timelessness fallen into the present are swept away.
